Kelly's journey into the world of design began at a young age. Frequent moves around the US (and UK!) allowed her style to develop and evolve quickly — drawing inspiration from diverse environments and cultures. Her love for objects, antiques, travel, and design is an integral part of her identity, fostered by a family full of curious and passionate artists. These childhood moments and memories remain the foundation for Kelly’s desire to be surround by all things unique and beautiful.

With a solid background in retail and a deep love of design, Kelly decided to embark on her own entrepreneurial path in 2021. ByKelly was born out of a desire to join together Kelly’s curiosities in a way that would satisfy her creative spirit and inspire others to prioritize creating thoughtful spaces. Kelly pulls together both residential and retail spaces with a harmonious blend of old and new, evoking a sense of timeless beauty. Kelly encourages each and every one of her clients to infuse their spaces with a sense of charm and wonder.

Kelly began working with local design brands during her college years. She was hired full-time by Margaret Schwartz after graduation and was immediately entrusted with managing inventories, buying, and merchandising. This invaluable hands-on experience provided Kelly with a deep understanding of the modern retail industry, as well as the intricate processes involved in curating exquisite collections. In 2018, Schwartz enlisted Kelly to creative direct her new brand, Modern Antiquarian. Schwartz’s antique brand specializes in Swedish Gustavian, English and French garden, paired with objects with a unique or modern edge.

Kelly's work with Modern Antiquarian and The Antiques Diva has taken her all over Europe and the UK. Hunting for antiques and their histories has given Kelly a deeper understanding of how objects have the potential to tell stories and add depth to her design projects and process; Kelly has honed her ability to create compelling visual displays layered with story and style. Her keen eye for detail transforms ordinary spaces into captivating showcases of artistry and design. Kelly has activated showroom spaces for Modern Antiquarian at High Point Antique and Design Center, NYDC The Gallery at 200 Lex powered by Incollect, The Compound at Round Top, and the Antique and Artisan Gallery.
